Clinical Trials and Investigator Roles

NCT04951479 (GAE for Knee Osteoarthritis): Dr. Ghodadra is the named Sponsor-Investigator of this completed UPMC trial evaluating Teleflex Gel-Bead embolic particles for the treatment of osteoarthritis-related knee pain.

Additional GAE-related trials referenced in the field include: NCT04472091, NCT04682652, NCT05386797, and NCT06514755 (the latter a sequential genicular nerve ablation plus GAE trial). Refer to ClinicalTrials.gov for current protocols and enrollment status.

3D Printing Research

Dr. Ghodadra is a co-author on multi-society RSNA Special Interest Group consensus papers establishing appropriate clinical situations for 3D printing in radiology, including vascular conditions, abdominal and hepatobiliary conditions, and document control workflows for point-of-care 3D printing. The UPMC 3D Printing Program produces patient-specific anatomic models, surgical guides, and pre-procedural simulators across surgical and interventional services.
